Nursery

I am now 37 weeks! Austin and I are so excited... the baby could come at any time! We still don't have a name picked out. We decided to choose a name for him after he is born so we will let everyone know then.

Here is a 37 week picture. I don't think I really look as far along as I am, but that could be because I am comparing myself to Tawnya (when she was pregnant with a very large baby) and Jessica (who is pregnant with twins). But the doc says I am measuring normal so all is well.

It has been a pretty easy pregnancy except that I am tired all the time. Luckily, my mom and Dan were able to come visit for a few days. They helped me to set up the baby room.

Austin and I painted the wood crib and changing table white. The first two are before pictures and the rest are after pictures. I am really happy about how it turned out! And now I will be stress free until the baby comes.

Baby Belly--26 weeks

Yup, I am 26 weeks along now. It has been going by too fast. Only three more months. According to babycenter.com the baby is now about fourteen inches long and weighs a little more than a pound and a half! Pretty cool!

I thought that I didn't really need to update with a picture because it doesn't really feel like I have grown much more than my last post, but when you look at them side by side it's actually a pretty big difference!

You would think the weirdest thing about being pregnant would be feeling the baby roll around inside you, or seeing your belly get bigger and bigger, but I have found that the weirdest thing for me is watching my innie belly button get smaller and smaller :)

BABY BOY!

We had an ultrasound a couple weeks ago and we found out we are having a BOY! We are both extremely excited and I am trying to enjoy every minute of my pregnancy.

This is a picture of his little feet! The nurse was obsessed with his legs and feet because we were getting such great views of them. We never got a good look at his face though. After shaking my belly he finally changed position, but then his face was toward my spine.

This is of his legs and belly. This picture is one of my favorites because his little legs are so cute! There is a little baby with legs and everything growing inside me!

This is another cute picture. He has his arm tucked up and his head ducked down hiding his face. I think his arms and legs are my favorite to look at. I I'm not sure why, but they are just so cute! Probably because they are so small. At this point he is only about six inches from head to rump.

Some people have requested that I put pregnancy pics up, so here is one straight on. You may also notice that I died my hair brown! It is dark brown but it is not permanent so it will fade to light brown or perhaps even my regular color of blond. I love it.

I am almost 20 weeks (5 months) along. It kinda looks like I am pushing my belly out but I'm not, I was just trying to get my arm out of the way. I feel much bigger than I look. I can't imagine what it will be like later!

I thought I would put this in here so Austin doesn't feel so left out :). We went to Montana this past weekend and Austin decided to ride a tractor. He looks grumpy in the pic but he actually enjoyed himself. Maybe he just takes his tractor riding seriously. :)

New Car and Baby pics

So, this first picture is an old ultrasound photo that we have of the baby. Since it's the only one that we have, I'm going to post it anyway. This is 9 weeks along. Mindy is currently 15 weeks along though. The due date is Sept 7th. The rest of the pictures are a result of the baby coming. We decided we wanted to get a car with four doors and an automatic transmission to make life a little easier.

We bought a 2010 Corolla S and we love it!!

Camping!

Well, here's an update finally. Lately, we've just been going to school and working. Pretty boring so that's why we haven't been updating the blog much. We went Mesa Falls this past weekend on a camping trip with David, Jessica, Spencer, and Robin. We had a great time and got some great pictures.

We took a hike down to these falls. It was such a perfect day!

The happy couple!

Prison Tattoos

I bet the title spikes at least some sort of interest...or worry.... Anyway, when I was on my mission I talked to this kid that had just gotten out of prison. He told me when he was in there he made a tattoo gun out of common household items and made money in prison. Well, I decided to make a tattoo gun too, but I'm not giving any person a tattoo. Instead I am tattooing my hard hat. I work at the hard hat steakhouse now and we have to wear hard hats, some kind of theme or something. lol Anyway we are supposed to personalize them to our personality and stuff. So I decided to tattoo mine.

Materials
-5 v output cell phone charger
-Motor(can be found in old vcr, cd player, printer or Radio Shack)
-Button
-Guitar String(used as needle)
-Bent spoon
-Mechanical Pencil
-Of course every good project must have a little Duct Tape

Since I'm not that great of an artist, I cut the designs into some duct tape and color inside the lines. So, here is what it looks like so far. It looks like I just did pointelism or dadaism(I think that's what it's called).

Halloween and Dorodangos

We had a halloween party with our ward the other day. So, as usual, we went to the DI to find our costumes. I found a karate shirt, that was too small, for my ninja outfit and wore sweat pants. Mindy found a scrubs top and some black pants. I think the costumes actually worked out pretty well. Anyway, here are some pics.

Now for the Dorodangos(aka: shining mud balls). We thought these were pretty cool. We saw a mythbusters where they made these balls out of mud, so we thought we would try it. They are a big hit in Japan apparently. Here's what they can look like if done with experience. Can you believe these are only made of mud?!

Here is what ours looked like. Mindy's is the first one and mine is the second one. If you want to try it out you could try this website: http://www.kyokyo-u.ac.jp/youkyou/4/english4.htm? Could be fun for the kids...I guess we're kids too.
